South Pearl Street and Old South Gaylord Street keep separate calendars all year. This fall they close their outdoor seasons almost together. The last Final Friday art walk on Pearl is Friday, October 30. Gaylord's Trick or Treat Street is the next afternoon. The South Pearl Street Farmers Market holds its final Sunday on November 8. Those three dates fall within ten days, and today is October 12, so the first of them is 18 days out.
Once that stretch ends, there's one confirmed street event left in 2026, a holiday market on Gaylord. Beyond that, the storefronts carry both blocks, and several of the places likely to fill the colder months opened during 2026.
Ten Days, Two Streets
Here are the confirmed 2026 dates in order, each from the organizer's own listing.
| Date | Event | Where | Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fri., Oct. 30 | Final Friday art walk, last of 2026 | 1400–1600 blocks of S. Pearl | 5 p.m. to sundown |
| Sat., Oct. 31 | Trick or Treat Street | 1000 block of S. Gaylord | 3–6 p.m. |
| Sun., Nov. 8 | South Pearl Street Farmers Market, final Sunday | 1500 S. Pearl | 9 a.m.–1 p.m. |
| Sat.–Sun., Nov. 21–22 | Firefly Handmade Holiday Market | Old South Gaylord | 10 a.m.–4 p.m. |
The first three dates close seasons that started months ago. The fourth is the only street event confirmed for the rest of 2026 on either block, and it comes 13 days after the market's last Sunday.
Pearl Closes First, With Its Fifth Art Walk
South Pearl Street's Final Friday runs on the last Friday of each month from June through October. The 2026 dates were June 26, July 31, August 28, September 25 and October 30. The district bills it as an intimate, family-friendly alternative to First Friday art walks. Artists give live demonstrations on the sidewalks, vintage vendors set up alongside them, and there is music and food across the 1400 to 1600 blocks.
The posted hours are 5 p.m. to sundown, so the walk ends whenever daylight does. The district lists both street parking and garage parking.
Strictly speaking, this stretch of Pearl belongs to Platt Park, which is how Axios Denver describes it. From the west side of the park, it's the closest commercial street on foot. That's why Pearl's calendar matters to Wash Park as much as Gaylord's does.
Gaylord Answers the Next Afternoon
Old South Gaylord does sit inside Washington Park, and Halloween is its turn. Trick or Treat Street on Historic South Gaylord runs Saturday, October 31, from 3 to 6 p.m. on the 1000 block. Local businesses hand out treats to trick-or-treaters of all ages.
The 2026 edition adds a red carpet, a photographer and a costume contest. The district promises string lights overhead and jack-o'-lanterns along the sidewalks. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so the 3 p.m. start doesn't run into a school or work day.
Gaylord's last big outdoor gathering before this one was the Labor Day Weekend Block Party, September 5 through 7, with live music, food trucks, artisan vendors and a kids' zone on the same block. The block holds two outdoor events about eight weeks apart, and Halloween is the second.
The Market's Twenty-Eighth Sunday
The South Pearl Street Farmers Market opened May 3 and closes November 8. Counting both ends, that's 28 Sundays, all from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1500 S. Pearl. The district describes more than 170 vendors selling Colorado produce, pastries, coffee, flowers and prepared food. Jarman and Co Events manages the market.
The 2026 roster includes these growers and bakers, among many others:
- Ela Family Farm
- Foxtown Farm
- Full Stop Bakery
- Rebel Bread
- Tart and Soul Bakery
- The Bread Box
That's the full-season roster, and the market doesn't publish which vendors will be there on its last Sundays. If you're making a final trip for one particular baker or farm, check with the vendor directly before you go.
Last winter, the A Tavola Winter Market ran an indoor Tuesday market at the Denver Design District, 575 S. Broadway, from January 13 through March 31, 2026. Its page hasn't announced a run for this winter. So far, nothing confirmed replaces the Pearl market between November and spring.
The Places That Stay Open After the Tents Come Down
When the art walk, the trick-or-treaters and the market tents are gone, the streets depend on their regular storefronts. Three of those opened this year.
Reunion Bakery, 1240 S. Pearl St. James Beard-nominated baker Ismael de Sousa opened Reunion's new home on Pearl in early May. He first launched the bakery inside The Source market hall in 2018, Axios Denver reported. The bigger space has an open kitchen and an all-day menu with brunch dishes, including the "Eggsession," an open-faced sourdough sandwich with soft-scrambled eggs. A refrigerated case holds cream puffs and tarts, and fresh bread service runs Wednesday through Sunday. Axios calls the pastel de nata a must-order. Because bread service runs through Sunday, Reunion is still baking on the Sundays after the market closes.
Milly's Bagels, 712½ S. Pearl St. Milly's moved into the former Colfax & Cream space. Westword listed it as open in a June 13 roundup. At the 700 block, it sits several blocks north of Reunion on the same street.
Wash Park Social, 1096 S. Gaylord St. This is the former Wash Park Grille space. The Denver Post reported that the Grille closed in February 2025 and that the new restaurant was expected to open in late April. Wash Park Social now says "Now Open" on its own site and is taking reservations this month. It's on the same 1000-block stretch as Trick or Treat Street, a few steps from the costume contest.
One Confirmed Holiday Weekend, Then Open Questions
The only confirmed holiday event on either street this year is the Firefly Handmade Holiday Market. It comes back outdoors to Old South Gaylord on November 21 and 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with more than 80 artisans and live music. Visit Denver lists the market at 1004 S. Gaylord St. Firefly's 2024 holiday market on the block was held November 16 and 17, so the 2026 dates come about a week later in the season.
Pearl's holiday plans haven't been posted yet. The district's Winterfest page, which covers the tree lighting and parade, still shows the 2025 dates of December 5 and 6. No 2026 date has been announced. Until one is, Firefly's weekend on Gaylord is the only street event between the market's last Sunday and the end of the year.
Inside the park, the city's Washington Park Improvements project is scheduled to finish in late 2026. It covers rehabilitating or reconstructing the tennis courts nearest the playground, new concrete along aging asphalt paths, and ADA upgrades at Picnic Areas 1 and 4, including restoration of the Girl Scouts Fireplace. The city's project sheet calls the schedule an estimate, and no progress update has been published. For now, the finish date is a plan.
At Gail Wheeler, we keep an eye on calendars like this one because they shape how a street feels in every season. If you own near Pearl or Gaylord and want to know how this year's new arrivals figure into your home's value, request a home valuation, and Gail and Kelly will handle it personally.
